FACETS Meal Preparation

A warm, nourishing meal cooked and packed by volunteers every other month for those who are hungry. The meal is then distributed at motels and parking lots around Fairfax County by FACETS, a local faith-based nonprofit serving the homeless.

School Supplies and Backpacks

Every year, we supply our local schools with the kind of things kids need most to start school. We collect, sort, and deliver hundreds of backpacks filled and ready to start the year.

Holiday Gifts for Children

Each December, we collect toys and educational materials for local children. They are donated to ECHO and Second Story, a Fairfax County Resource Center in Springfield.

Winter Vacation Food Boxes

We mobilize with our local school to ensure that families have adequate food over the winter break.

Annual Hypothermia Shelter Week

Each winter, St Christopher’s welcomes up to 40 unsheltered people to sleep and eat warm meals in a safe and welcoming place.

ECHO Collections

Every month, we support the work of ECHO to care for the people of Springfield by collecting donations of food and household items.

Home-Grown Vegetables and Fruit

St. Christopher’s runs an on-site garden where fruits and vegetables are grown from spring thru fall. Each year, hundreds of pounds of fresh food are harvested and donated to local families
