Welcome to St. Christopher's Church!
Wednesday, December 11, Parish Office and Preschool will open two hours late today and Holy Eucharist will be held at 9:30 a.m.
PLEASE NOTE OUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY....
In the event of winter precipitation on a day when worship or other church activities are planned, please note the following:
We follow Fairfax County School closures. All weekday and evening activities will be cancelled when Fairfax County Schools are closed because of winter weather. If there is any question about your activity, call the leader of the activity.
Sunday morning cancellations will be decided by the rector by 6 a.m. on that particular Sunday. Notice about the service changes will be included on our answering machine. Call 703-451-1088. Sometimes when the power has gone out or Verizon has a problem you may not be able to get into our phone system (which will identify itself by our "mailbox" phone number which is different than the number you dialed), in such a case, make your best judgment about determining if you will try to make it to the church or not.
St. Christopher’s in Springfield, VA is a parish made up of a Christ-centered community where all persons, from all walks of life, and varying faith experiences are welcome. Here we continually discover ways in our personal and corporate lives to understand how Christ is calling us forth into the world to be his hands, feet, and heart in service others. In this way we carry on God’s story as begun in scripture, continuing that with our lives.
For newcomers – the people who gather and worship at St. Christopher’s are just like you. Come and see what our worship is like; receive our hospitality, and witness how God guides us here. I am confident that you will experience the love of Christ among us, and feel included in that. Wherever your personal adventure has brought you, you are welcome here.
The Reverend Peter K. Ackerman
